Offer a wave and let the birthday child watch before deciding whether to come closer or speak.
Invite children to participate one at a time, with watching as an equally fine choice. Keep a clear area around the child.
First check the exact facility's permitted hours and share the timing with our team. Confirm program details, cost and availability directly.
For a character visit in Comet, North Carolina, leave enough room in the plan for the child to warm up. Begin with a wave or a short hello, then offer a photo or a chance for guests to greet the character if the birthday child is comfortable. Statewide park guidance points to practical scheduling questions, but does not verify Comet facilities or rules. Ask us about the requested costume theme and confirm program details, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
