Offer a wave or a quiet hello from a little distance. Let the child choose whether to approach, join an activity or watch with a trusted adult.
Choose a clear spot with room for the child and a few guests. Ask the character to pause for a group picture, then invite children one at a time without requiring anyone to pose.
Share the date, location, guest ages and preferred visit length with our team. Ask about program details, cost and availability; a request does not secure a booking.
In Delta Garden, Louisiana, keep the visit centered on one easy-to-follow moment: a calm hello, a short group activity, then time for individual photos. Before choosing a party site, decide whether your group needs a room, shelter or other gathering space. Statewide planning checks are useful starting points, but city facilities and local policies have not been verified. Ask the operator about access and whether hired entertainment is permitted. Tell our team the planned setting and your child's comfort level so we can discuss a suitable character visit; confirm program details, cost and availability directly.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Louisiana's Office of State Parks contact page provides a route to make and manage park reservations. Use that official route and the exact park operator to identify whether you need lodging, a shelter or another group facility. Check activity eligibility, access and permission for hired entertainment separately; the contact page does not establish approval or availability for your party.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
