Picnic shelters at Joe W. Brown Memorial Park are listed in NORDC rental information, so they are one option to consider. Check with the park directly about permission for outside entertainment and your planned setup.
NORDC lists multi-purpose rooms for groups of 10 to 100 attendees. Confirm the capacity of the specific room you want before you finalize your guest list.
Ask whether outside entertainers are allowed, what space is available for the visit, how long you can use the room, and what backup plan exists if you are outdoors.
Pick the character your child is most excited about, then plan the visit around the venue type you book. A shelter, a multi-purpose room and a backyard-style setting each suit different kinds of activities.
New Orleans has a range of public recreation spaces, and the right place for a character visit depends on the size of the group and the kind of activity you have in mind. Use this page to narrow down the venue type, then choose a character and plan the visit around the room you can actually book.
Joe W. Brown Memorial Park has picnic shelters that appear in NORDC's rental information. A covered shelter can suit a family party with food, games and a character greeting, but ask the park whether your planned activities, music and any outside entertainer are allowed before you commit. If the weather looks unsettled, ask what indoor option exists as a backup.

NORDC lists multi-purpose rooms for groups of 10 to 100 attendees. That range is useful when you are estimating how many guests the room will hold comfortably alongside a character visit. Confirm the exact capacity for the specific room you are reserving, since the listed range is a general guide rather than a promise for every space.

Before booking, you may want to ask whether outside entertainers are permitted, whether you can set up a small performance area, where guests can wait, and whether there is an easy place for the character to change or rest. You might also ask about food rules and how long the room is available around your scheduled start time.
