In Elbert, Colorado, the details of the chosen gathering area can shape how comfortably children meet the character. Before party day, check the actual surface, seating, shade and access, then choose a greeting spot where the birthday child can approach at their own pace. Offer a photo and a short group activity as choices, not obligations. Ask us to confirm the requested costume theme, program ideas, costs and availability.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife explains that group-area amenities vary by state park. Check the actual shelter, surface, seating and access arrangements for the chosen group area before planning games or a character entrance. Ask the park about the proposed hired entertainment and any event procedures; listed amenities do not establish approval or availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
