Start with a wave from a comfortable distance. Let the child choose whether to move closer or take a photo later.
Have a helper invite a few guests at a time to join a simple activity or photo. Keep an easy watching option open.
Send the child's name, preferred greeting, location and any boundaries to our team. Ask us to confirm the requested program, cost and availability.
For a Highland Hills celebration, keep the character moment focused rather than stretching it across the whole party. Ask us about a short sequence: greet the birthday child, invite guests to join a simple activity and pause for photos. A child who feels unsure can stay with a familiar adult or watch from the edge. Tell our team in advance where the visit will happen and what helps the child feel comfortable. Confirm theme-program details, costs and availability directly; a request is not a booking.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
