Let the child decide whether to wave, speak or approach. A trusted adult can stay close, with no pressure to pose.
Offer one easy group choice, such as a song or a wave. Children who prefer watching can stay where they feel comfortable.
No. Ask the specific operator about the space and rules, then confirm visit details, costs and availability with our team.
In Kelly, build the visit around a defined gathering spot rather than assuming a trail or outdoor area suits a party. Once guests are settled, invite the birthday child to greet the character in their own way, then offer a photo or a short group activity. Keep the guest role simple, such as a wave or a song response. Ask us about planning options; confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Wyoming State Parks describes outdoor recreation at its state-managed properties and provides a park directory. Check the actual park's gathering facilities, routes and access rather than assuming a recreational trail is a suitable event space. Ask the operator about group-space reservations and hired entertainment; recreation information is not a venue recommendation or approval for your party.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
