Start with a wave or gentle hello from a little distance. Let the child approach, stay with a caregiver or watch.
Offer small-group photos or one brief activity with clear turns. Avoid asking every guest to gather around the child at once.
Check venue access, facility conditions and entertainment permission. Ask our team to confirm your preferred program, cost and availability.
For a Modoc, Georgia, party, think through the gathering space before deciding how the character will meet the child. A calm entrance and a short first hello can lead into a choice of photos, a simple group activity or quiet observation. Ask one adult to guide guest turns and keep the child's path clear. Statewide facility guidance is only a planning starting point, so contact the exact venue about its setup and rules before asking us to confirm visit plans.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Georgia State Parks distinguishes different gathering facilities, including enclosed group shelters and open picnic shelters. Contact the relevant park before reserving to verify the actual room or shelter amenities, access and conditions. Confirm permission for hired entertainment; an enclosed facility listing does not guarantee that every proposed party activity is allowed.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
