Let the birthday child choose a wave, a brief hello, or watching from nearby. Avoid making participation a requirement.
Choose a photo spot and invite small groups in turn. Keep an adult nearby to help children who want space.
Ask us about the requested date, visit length, program options, and cost. Confirm details directly; a request does not reserve a visit.
For a gathering in Perrysville, build the plan around an easy transition if outdoor conditions change. Choose one adult to watch the forecast and make the move decision, so the organizer can focus on welcoming the character and guests. Keep the greeting simple: the birthday child can wave, share a short conversation, or watch before joining a photo. Ask us about a manageable visit program and confirm its details, cost, and timing. These are parent planning ideas, not promises about a provider's program or local venue arrangements.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
