Offer a wave or a chance to watch alongside a trusted adult. Let the child choose whether to approach or take part.
Ask one adult to guide the activity and invite small groups for photos. Keep a clear space where children can step away.
Check facility amenities, access, current conditions, and permission for the proposed visit with the operator. Confirm theme, program details, and availability with our team.
A Riverside party plan works best when the venue details and the child's comfort are both settled ahead of time. Georgia's statewide facility guidance does not identify a particular Riverside space or guarantee its rules. Keep the character visit welcoming and simple: a calm greeting, a brief activity with room to watch, and optional photos. Have one organizer handle transitions so the child is not rushed. When you contact our team, share the schedule and preferred greeting style; confirm program details and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Georgia State Parks distinguishes different gathering facilities, including enclosed group shelters and open picnic shelters. Contact the relevant park before reserving to verify the actual room or shelter amenities, access and conditions. Confirm permission for hired entertainment; an enclosed facility listing does not guarantee that every proposed party activity is allowed.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
