Offer a choice to wave, watch or join a photo. Let each child decide, with a parent nearby if that helps.
Share the expected greeting time and where children should gather. Mention that watching quietly is welcome too.
No. Ask us about availability, program details and costs. A request is not a reservation or payment.
In Rosharon, Texas, keep the character moment easy to follow: let children know when the guest will arrive, invite them to gather, then make space for individual comfort levels. A child might wave first and join a group photo later. If a state park facility is under consideration, check its current booking channel and rules for hired entertainment rather than assuming the activity is permitted. Ask us to confirm program details, costs and availability for your requested theme.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Texas Parks and Wildlife directs visitors to reserve group facilities by phone rather than assuming every booking can be completed online. Check the current process for the exact group facility and describe the gathering and hired entertainment to the park. A phone reservation route does not establish that the proposed party activity is eligible or available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
