Yes, as a planning choice. Let the child watch first, then decide whether to greet the character or join a photo.
Have an organizer invite small groups to the photo area and leave space for other guests to watch.
Tell our team the date, location, age range and preferred visit length. Confirm the requested character, program details, cost and availability.
In Ross, Texas, help the birthday child feel at ease by planning a short welcome before any group activity. Guests can wave, watch or join a photo when ready, while an adult keeps the gathering moving at a comfortable pace. Ask us about a manageable visit plan and confirm the character, program details, cost and availability with our team. The guidance here is statewide planning advice, not verification of a Ross venue or local policy.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Texas Parks and Wildlife directs visitors to reserve group facilities by phone rather than assuming every booking can be completed online. Check the current process for the exact group facility and describe the gathering and hired entertainment to the park. A phone reservation route does not establish that the proposed party activity is eligible or available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
