Explain the plan simply, keep a trusted adult close and let the child choose whether to wave, pose for a photo or watch.
Choose one adult to monitor conditions and make the move indoors, using a backup space arranged ahead of time.
No. Ask our team to confirm the visit program, costs and availability before you organize the schedule.
For a Rowe celebration, make the character's arrival calm and predictable. Let the birthday child know what will happen, then offer a choice between watching nearby or greeting the character with a wave. Keep photos optional and leave time for a short activity that guests can join at their own pace. If the gathering is outdoors, arrange an indoor alternative and name one adult to make the weather decision. These are statewide planning checks, not verified Rowe venues or policies. Ask our team to confirm visit details, costs and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
