In Royal Oak, Michigan, a smooth character visit starts with a simple plan for where the group will gather and who will guide the child. Begin with a warm greeting, then offer a choice between a short activity and a photo with a caregiver nearby. Guests can join a wave or take turns for pictures, while observers remain welcome. Since local facilities and policies are unverified, confirm the venue's rules directly. Ask our team to confirm program details, costs and availability before planning around the visit.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue.
