Yes. A wave or a look from beside a trusted adult can be the whole greeting. Let the child choose whether to come closer.
Invite guests to take turns with a wave or short hello. Keep a clear space around the child and avoid urging them to perform.
Provide the location, guest count, child's comfort preferences and access needs. Confirm the requested theme, program details, cost and availability with our team.
A relaxed character visit in Rumely starts with a small invitation rather than a big entrance. Let the child see the character from a comfortable distance, then offer a wave or optional photo with a familiar adult nearby. Guests can take part one at a time, keeping the moment calm. For outdoor plans, agree on a clear weather pivot. Ask us about your requested costume theme and confirm program details, cost, and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
