In Royston, plan the visit around a calm first hello and a little room for children to warm up at their own pace. Invite the birthday child to wave, watch from beside a trusted adult, or join when ready. Keep the character's arrival area clear and choose one simple photo moment before guests get absorbed in play. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Royston venues or local policies. Ask us about the character you have in mind; confirm program ideas, costs, and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Georgia State Parks distinguishes different gathering facilities, including enclosed group shelters and open picnic shelters. Contact the relevant park before reserving to verify the actual room or shelter amenities, access and conditions. Confirm permission for hired entertainment; an enclosed facility listing does not guarantee that every proposed party activity is allowed.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
