Plan a greeting and optional photo, leaving other party activities outside that time.
No. Offer the photo as a choice, and let children watch or wave instead.
Not on the basis of the cited guidance. Check with the operator and confirm program details with us.
In Ruth, set the character visit around the time your chosen space actually allows, rather than planning a long sequence of activities. A short greeting gives the birthday child room to warm up, and guests can join with a wave or an optional group photo. Before setting an arrival time, check the exact facility's hours and permitted use with its operator. State guidance does not verify any local Ruth venue or event approval.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
