In Royal, North Carolina, build the visit around a clear start and finish so young guests know what to expect. The birthday child can greet the character with a wave, then choose a photo or a short group hello. Ask guests to wait for their turn rather than crowding around the child. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified city venues or policies. Ask us about the requested character theme; confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.

North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
