Let the child observe first, then choose whether to wave, talk, or join a photo. Avoid making a greeting a requirement.
Set aside a clear greeting spot, tell guests when to gather, and choose one adult to help with photos and transitions.
No. Share your preferred date, ZIP code, and theme with our team, then confirm availability, program details, and costs.
In Union Furnace, build the character visit around a calm arrival rather than a packed schedule. Let the birthday child watch from beside a trusted adult, wave, or join when ready. A short greeting can lead into a favorite-song moment, a group photo, and a simple activity if the children want to participate. Before contacting our team, choose a preferred date and visit window, guest count, character theme, and indoor backup. A date or ZIP-code request is a planning inquiry, not a reservation. Confirm program details, costs, and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
