Keep the first greeting optional. The child can wave, stay with a parent or watch before deciding to approach.
Set aside a short, flexible photo moment after the greeting and let guests join in small groups or watch.
No. Check with the exact operator about permission, then ask us to confirm theme, program details and availability.
In White Stone, build the character moment around a small, clear plan: where the child will meet the guest, where photos can happen, and how other children may join. A wave or quiet greeting gives the child time to warm up; guests can take part in a short hello without crowding the moment. Share the child's name and preferred approach with our team in advance. Ask us to confirm the requested character theme, program details and availability. If you are considering a park gathering, check the actual facility and make a weather backup before committing to an outdoor setup.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Georgia State Parks distinguishes different gathering facilities, including enclosed group shelters and open picnic shelters. Contact the relevant park before reserving to verify the actual room or shelter amenities, access and conditions. Confirm permission for hired entertainment; an enclosed facility listing does not guarantee that every proposed party activity is allowed.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
