Tell them the character will say hello, then offer a photo or simple group moment. Make watching an acceptable choice.
Check the facility's permitted use hours and conditions, then plan arrival, greeting, photos, and departure within that window.
Share the requested theme, event location, preferred timing, and any child comfort notes. Our team can confirm program details, costs, and availability.
For a Woodfin gathering, give the character visit a clear beginning and end so children know what to expect. A gentle wave can lead into a brief greeting, followed by an optional photo and one simple group participation moment. Keep the child's preferred level of attention in mind, and avoid making every guest take part. Ask us about the requested costume theme and confirm program details, costs, and availability. Share the event location and timing with the organizer after checking the exact facility's allowed use period.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
