Offer the birthday child a choice of watching, waving or saying hello. Let the character team know you prefer a low-pressure greeting.
Invite guests to take turns with a wave or short greeting, and keep participation optional. A small photo group can help keep the moment calm.
Ask the park operator about the facility and activity permission. Confirm program details, cost and availability with our team separately.
A Lyerly character visit can start quietly, with the birthday child choosing a wave or a hello before any group activity begins. Keep the first photo brief and optional, then let guests take turns joining in so the room does not feel rushed. If you are considering a park gathering, check whether the listed space is enclosed or open and whether it has the amenities you need. Confirm permission for the proposed visit with its operator.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Georgia State Parks distinguishes different gathering facilities, including enclosed group shelters and open picnic shelters. Contact the relevant park before reserving to verify the actual room or shelter amenities, access and conditions. Confirm permission for hired entertainment; an enclosed facility listing does not guarantee that every proposed party activity is allowed.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
