Introduce the character gently and leave room for the child to observe. A wave or a greeting from beside a caregiver is enough.
They can watch or join an optional group activity instead. Keep participation flexible and avoid calling on children unexpectedly.
Check the requested character, format, timing, costs, and availability with us. Ask the venue separately about permission and weather arrangements.
For Alt de Bucabarones, think through both the welcome and the weather plan before the party begins. A familiar adult can introduce the character, while children decide whether to wave, take a photo, or watch from nearby. Keep the first activity simple and optional so the visit can suit different comfort levels. If the gathering is outdoors, identify an indoor backup and give one adult responsibility for monitoring conditions. Ask us to confirm program details, costs, and availability for the requested theme. These are statewide checks, not verified local venue information.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
