No. Offer a wave or a chance to watch first, and let each child choose whether to approach.
Keep the setup simple and let children stay near their caregivers. A wave or a quick look can count as participation.
Confirm theme, format, timing, costs, and availability with us. Separately ask the venue about rules and your indoor fallback.
When planning in Alt de Cana, make the character's arrival easy to understand for children: tell them a special guest is coming, but let them decide how to say hello. A brief wave, a caregiver-assisted photo, or quiet watching can all be part of the visit. Prepare a clear place for guests to gather and keep any activity simple. Outdoor plans also need an indoor option and a designated adult to monitor weather. Ask us to confirm theme-provider details, costs, and availability. These are statewide planning checks, not verified city facilities or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
