Invite, rather than require, a greeting or activity. Children may watch from beside a caregiver until they feel comfortable.
Choose a spot and let families know when photos will happen. Keep the child's caregiver close and allow time between turns.
Ask us to confirm the character, visit format, timing, costs, and availability. Confirm venue permission and the weather backup with the venue.
A thoughtful character visit in Alt de Caguas can leave plenty of room for children to warm up before joining in. Start with a friendly introduction, then let each guest choose a wave, a photo, or a place to watch. Tell the character guest who may need extra time and where you hope the photos will happen. If you are gathering outdoors, decide in advance how the group will move inside if conditions change. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, visit format, costs, and availability. These are statewide planning checks, not verified local venues or rules.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
