For a Barton, Ohio, party, give the character visit a simple shape: a welcome, a special greeting for the birthday child, and an optional moment for photos or group participation. Children can join from their seats or stay beside a caregiver, so the visit does not rely on everyone approaching. If the gathering is outdoors, decide ahead who will monitor conditions and where the group will go if needed. Ask us about a requested character theme; program details, cost, and availability must be confirmed with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
