Offer the choice to watch, wave or take a photo later. A trusted adult can stay beside the child.
Choose a clear, familiar spot and let families take turns when children are ready, rather than calling everyone forward at once.
A request alone does not reserve a visit. Confirm availability, cost and the agreed program details with our team.
An Exmore, Virginia party can give children time to watch before they decide whether to join the character. Ask us about a theme, then confirm the program, cost and availability with our team. Plan a brief greeting and a photo opportunity where children can come forward with a parent or stay nearby. A simple group activity can keep the visit manageable without requiring every child to perform. Before settling on an outdoor setup, verify the actual venue's arrangements and prepare an indoor alternative with the operator.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within Virginia, Alexandria municipal facilities provide different picnic-season and indoor rental options. Alexandria distinguishes its picnic season from year-round indoor rentals. For a party outside the picnic season, check an indoor reservation path and verify the actual opening hours of the chosen room. This example applies only to Alexandria's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
