A Purgatory gathering can feel easier when the birthday child knows what to expect. Tell them a character will arrive, offer a wave or a photo, and let them choose whether to join in. If planning an outdoor group area, check the actual surfaces, seating, shade, and access before deciding on games or an entrance. Ask us about a simple visit flow; confirm the theme, program details, cost, and availability with our team.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife explains that group-area amenities vary by state park. Check the actual shelter, surface, seating and access arrangements for the chosen group area before planning games or a character entrance. Ask the park about the proposed hired entertainment and any event procedures; listed amenities do not establish approval or availability.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
