Let the child stay beside a trusted adult and choose a wave, a hello, or simply watching. Do not make photos or interaction a requirement.
Ask about the exact reservation process and whether the proposed hired entertainment is allowed. The Indianapolis example does not set Russiaville rules.
An inquiry is not a reservation or payment. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, program details, cost, and availability.
A park-based party in Russiaville calls for one important organizer step: check rules with the actual site operator before inviting a paid character. Indiana's supplied example concerns Indianapolis facilities only, so it does not establish Russiaville policies. Once the venue is settled, keep the visit gentle: offer the child a wave or hello, make space for photos, and invite guests into a brief optional activity. Share the plan with helpers and confirm the requested theme, program details, cost, and availability with us. A ZIP code or date request is not a reservation.

As a city-scoped example within Indiana, Indy Parks provides permit guidance for private vendor sales. Indy Parks requires permits for private vendor sales. Tell the park what paid services, rentals or entertainment you propose, and check the applicable approval rather than treating all party activities as ordinary park use. This example applies only to Indianapolis's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup.
