No. It is an Alexandria-only example. Check the actual Star Tannery venue and its operator for local arrangements and rules.
Ask before taking a photo, keep the moment brief, and let the child stay beside a trusted adult.
Ask us to confirm program details, cost, and availability. Venue permission and reservations must be checked separately.
For Star Tannery, Virginia, plan a character visit around one small moment that belongs to the birthday child: a gentle hello, a wave, or a photo if they choose. Guests can join a short greeting, while a familiar adult helps the child take a break if needed. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Star Tannery venues or policies. Ask us about the visit's program details, cost, and availability, and confirm any facility reservation or permission with its operator.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within Virginia, Alexandria municipal facilities provide different picnic-season and indoor rental options. Alexandria distinguishes its picnic season from year-round indoor rentals. For a party outside the picnic season, check an indoor reservation path and verify the actual opening hours of the chosen room. This example applies only to Alexandria's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
