Start with a wave or a short hello from beside a familiar adult. Let the child decide whether to continue.
Invite guests to join one easy group activity or take photos in small turns. Watching quietly should be welcome too.
Ask the park about its facility rules and permission for hired entertainment. Confirm the character program, costs and availability with our team.
In Doraville, make the character's arrival a gentle invitation rather than a big entrance. The birthday child might wave first, choose a photo with a parent, or watch while guests join a simple activity. If you plan to gather at a state park, check the exact facility and its conditions before setting the schedule. These are statewide planning checks, not verified Doraville venues or policies. Confirm entertainment permission with the operator and program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Georgia State Parks distinguishes different gathering facilities, including enclosed group shelters and open picnic shelters. Contact the relevant park before reserving to verify the actual room or shelter amenities, access and conditions. Confirm permission for hired entertainment; an enclosed facility listing does not guarantee that every proposed party activity is allowed.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
