In Douglasville, make the character visit feel like a calm highlight rather than the whole party. Plan a brief welcome, then offer children a choice: wave from their seat or come forward for a hello and photo. Tell our team the child's name, favorite theme and any moments they may prefer to skip. These are planning ideas, not a confirmed program; ask us about the character's activities, timing, cost and availability before making plans. Statewide guidance can help with venue questions, but city facilities and policies have not been verified.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Georgia State Parks distinguishes different gathering facilities, including enclosed group shelters and open picnic shelters. Contact the relevant park before reserving to verify the actual room or shelter amenities, access and conditions. Confirm permission for hired entertainment; an enclosed facility listing does not guarantee that every proposed party activity is allowed.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
