Let them watch first, wave from beside a trusted adult, or skip the greeting. Offer another chance later without putting them on the spot.
Share the visit location, arrival timing and a day-of contact with our team. Keep a small photo area clear and ask the venue about access and permitted activities.
No. A request is not a reservation or payment. Confirm the venue arrangement separately, then ask our team about the character program, cost and availability.
In Roslyn Heights, make the character's arrival a calm pause in the party rather than a demand for every child to join in. Ask us about the character theme, then plan a simple greeting, a short story or wave, and time for photos. Children can choose to stand beside the character, watch from a parent's lap, or join later. Before inviting guests, decide where the visit will happen and prepare a clear route for the character and children. These are statewide planning checks, not verified Roslyn Heights venue options or local policies. Confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
