No. It applies only to Alexandria facilities. Verify policies with the actual venue operator.
Ask us about the requested theme, program, costs and availability.
In Woodberry Forest, keep the visit focused on the birthday child's comfort rather than a packed schedule. Begin with a greeting from a familiar adult nearby, then offer a photo and a simple group turn for guests who want to join. Ask us about the requested character theme and a short program; details, costs and availability need confirmation. Before inviting everyone, identify who will welcome the performer, where the group will gather and how children can step away or rejoin without interrupting the celebration.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within Virginia, Alexandria municipal facilities provide different picnic-season and indoor rental options. Alexandria distinguishes its picnic season from year-round indoor rentals. For a party outside the picnic season, check an indoor reservation path and verify the actual opening hours of the chosen room. This example applies only to Alexandria's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
