Let the character greet the child from a comfortable distance. The child can join later, wave or simply watch.
Take the child's photo first if they want one, then invite guests in smaller groups. Keep the photo spot uncluttered.
Share the requested theme, date, location and child's preferences. Ask us to confirm the program, costs and availability.
For a Rossford party, give the birthday child a clear, low-pressure way to take the lead. A short greeting can begin with a wave, followed by a choice to chat or watch while the character meets guests. Plan a photo moment that does not interrupt the child's pace, then offer the group a simple activity everyone can join or skip. Tell our team where the visit will happen and what helps the child feel at ease. Confirm program details, costs and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
