Let the child see the character from a comfortable distance first. Offer a wave or a parent-supported hello, with watching as a welcome choice.
Tell them the rough visit sequence and where to gather for photos. Ask them to leave space for the child to approach at their own pace.
No. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, date, program details and cost. A request is not a reservation or payment.
At a gathering in Ruggles Beach, make the character's arrival a calm focal point, not a surprise the child has to manage. Tell guests where to gather, leave a little space around the birthday child and let them choose whether to wave or join a photo. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified local venues or policies. Ask us about the theme, visit format, cost and availability before setting expectations.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
